ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hello SCHS Class of 1961>>

This is to inform you of two Teacher Scholarship Funds maintained by the Principal at SCHS currently.

An Existing Scholarship Fund for Hazel Childress and a New Scholarship Fund for Thelma Conley.

Both Teachers are fondly remembered by many in Our Class and some have expressed an interest in contributing to the school scholarship funds.  [These monies are not processed by the SCHS Alumni Association but go DIRECT to the School via the address below.  However, if you have ever joined the SCHS AA, 20% of your Dues have gone to the School for Scholarships in general.]

Should you like to support one or both Teacher, please send a check to:

South Charleston High School
One Eagle Way
South Charleston, WV 25309
Attn: Principal Paul McClanahan

Make Checks payable to:
SCHS Thelma Conley Scholarship Fund  or SCHS Hazel Childress Scholarship Fund.

If you mention our Class of 1961, it will be noted.

The Class of 1962 is currently trying to grow the Newer Thelma Conley Fund to an amount that can establish a Foundation Account to make an Annual Scholarship forever..

Thank you for your time and interest.

And as Principal Michael said, Go Black Eagles!
