Ronnie met me on the football field during hitting practice at Spring Hill Junior High in 1956. We both played tackle, Ronnie  on A team, I played oppose on B team. We grudgingly earned respect for each other on and off the field and became friends. We bloodied noses ,blacked eyes ,loosened teeth and respected each others wit and skills. Ronnie and I played same part in the senior play Ask Any Girl as the father. He play the day show and I the night as a puzzled country father of two daughters in a boarding house. Ronnie had a keen sence of humor, a person loyalty, and a deep faith. We will meet in heaven, go over Coach Snotgrass play book, and he can teach me to tell better jokes and to be a better athlete.
