Don took the lead in establishing the monthly SCHS Class of '61 lunches and was faithful in sending e-mail reminders a few days prior. We who regularly attend these lunches are deeply saddened at this significant loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Don's family. At today's (6/6/2018) lunch, attending classmates determined to donate to the Thelma Conley and Hazel Childress Scholarship Funds in Don's memory. One hundred fifty dollars was collected and I will send checks to the principal of SCHS in the amount of $75 for each Fund. We are issuing a challenge to you other 1961 alumni to pay your respects in like manner.

We pray for the repose of Don Pauley. Oh how he will be missed by his family and many, many friends. A rock with the alumni for sure. May we keep, in his memory and memory of all SC Saints, our participating reunion commitment. Also what is the address to send $ in his memory to the teacher scholarship funds.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Don's passing.  I have always held him in high regard, all the way back to our days at Spring Hill Jr. High.  I will miss his regular updates on the monthly Class of '61 lunches.  Rest in peace, Don.

I am so sorry to hear this. Don was so good about forwarding messages about all our classmates and announcements about the monthly lunches and who attended. I enjoyed our exchanges obout WVU and OU (Oklahoma) football and basketball. He helped me keep in touch. I will miss you, Don. Thanks fot it all.
