Eugene was my best friend and we were born on the same day. We were in scouts together at St. Pauls Methodist Church in Spring Hill and worked on our silver eagle awards together. We were in the high school sunday school class and sang so loud that the old ladies would send word down to our teacher Hermond Mattox to hush. Eugene bought a state police Lt's car and won bets that you could not grab a doller bill off the dash before he poped the clutch and I lost money to him. We were in the TV and radio lab class and passed the class using my Dad's ham radio parts as the class parts were burnt out. Eugene was kind in passing the parts to others in our class.  He and his family were friends to me when my Mother died in 1960. He died when a truck tire exploded and the rim caused a coma. I remember a distinctive designed white heart with three red roses in the center for his wife and two sons, at his service. Eugene was a menter to me and we were  both good friends of Jesus.  Lynn Wilbur
